Welcome to the public relations office in ShadowSpace. All that you want to know about yours truly is found here. Perhaps I will add more as time goes, but, since we just opened up our jumpgates and docking stations, I haven't figured out what we're opening to the public yet. I appreciate any comments you have to improve this site (flame mail, spam, and harrassment will result in summary vaporization of offending spacefarer).
First, I am a computer enthusiast (not a "geek", "nerd" or "techie"). I do work with computers for a living as a networking consultant. It's fun, enjoyable and challenging and definitely not for the faint of heart. Unfortunately, I'd be a lot better off financially (lots of $ as a consultant) if I took my career more seriously. But then, where would the fun be? I used to do the office help desk type stuff but found out that there was better pay if you could make it work in the field and could talk to non-enthusiasts in normal English. Besides, I enjoy the daily change of scenery ... who wants to sit in a room where it's always 65 degrees and half the support staff has the personality of the local PC you're working on? And, the really big challenges (i.e., the really nasty networking problems that most support folks would rather avoid ... or nuke ...) are usually out there in someone else's office.
My motto in life has been: "Work hard, play harder, sleep." Corollary to that is "Are we having fun yet?" Hasn't killed me yet.
I enjoy skiing, volleyball, traveling, hanging out with friends, playing PC games, shooting pool, reading, and just simply life itself ...
